Shakopee Minnesota’s Canterbury Park has 25 cash game tables and can accommodate up to 37 additional tables for tournament purposes. -In 2018 Canterbury offered 5 $1k tournaments and a $3500 "High Roller" -MSPT Prize pools are $300k or $500k guaranteed prize pools. -Canterbury now offers Hold'em, Omaha variants, Stud Variants and Draw Variants. -The MVP program now offers $2/hr in all games.
The Canterbury Park poker room gives its loyal players discounted drink rates during Happy Hour. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., tap beers are only $2.50, and premium beers are $3. Similar deals apply to the food menu during happy hour. While seated, players can request tableside food and drink service, plus soothing massages to shrug off the tension of a bad beat or fend off the stress of a long day. Canterbury Park runs the MVP rewards card program. When first sitting at a table, hand the dealer your card to accumulate comps that can be used in exchange for any of the aforementioned services.
