Major casino entertainment provider Caesars Entertainment spearheads the Chicagoland area's poker action. Caesars operate the vast Horseshoe Hammond Casino, where one of the nation’s largest World Series of Poker Circuit events takes place within 350,000 square feet of gaming space. Harrah’s Joliet is also associated with the WSOP. There isn’t legal online poker within Chicagoland quite yet, but the live game seems to be on an upward curve in the city. Small-scale cash games are available in the city’s two Hollywood-branded poker rooms and Grand Victoria Casino. Charity poker is also very popular in the area, with events running every weekend and even during the week. Rockford (Chicagoland) Charity Poker conducts events 6 days per week and Chicago Charitable Games runs up to 4 days per weekend.
