Tournament starts at 2pm. You can enter or re-enter until 6:30
It gives players a window to arrive. Granted, the later you arrive, the more disadvantage you have due to higher blinds and antes.
@brad7449 not always remember people play losser before the break so if you sit down right at break you can make up for it by playing tight.
Some people ( even pros!) think “max late reg” is the way to go . Closer to the money, people play tighter, hands are more significant. And you didn’t waste 3 hours getting to that point. All true. But you get only one chance - you double up the first hand you play, or at least win, or you’re out.
There are a lot of reasons where it makes sense… you will need to decide for yourself if it’s right for you. Poker is a SPORT…
@AKQJTOFF that's true, but if you have a short stack, it's a disadvantage in my opinion.
It also allows horrible poker players a chance to get back in the tournament after being knocked out multiple times if they have the cash to rebuy a lot of the so called pro do it
