It’s a fairly new thing ( which I hate, and feel it screws up the game), but, instead of every player anteing, (because it’s slooow, and hard on the dealer), instead they have the BB post antes for everyone - in the amount of the BB. Thus SB 1000/ BB2000/BB ante 2000. My objection is: What is the point of the SB/BB forced bet? To put a little pressure on them to play other than awesome hands- and give everyone else something to steal. Great. So what is the point of “antes”? To put a little pressure on EVERYONE to play other than awesome hands. And put more money in the pot to steal. Great. So, does BB Ante still do those things? Nope. There is more money in the pot, but zero pressure on none blind players to play. All you have done is make the blind structure more aggressive.
