1st time to vegas
First off thanks to allvegaspoker.com for great research information for my trip.
I arrived on March 2nd. was able to catch the $6 shuttle to avoid the high cab fares. Stayed at Harrahs in a comped premium room which was great.
Played mostly at Harrahs, Imperial Palace, Treasure Island, and The Tuscany.
The 12:30am $40 rebuy tourneys at Harrahs were really good with 2 tables. Only once did we have donkeys at the tables, that were eliminated after the rebuys, but thanks to them for increasing the pots. I was able to cash at one of the tourneys, my first cash. The poker room was nice, drink service was average, and the dealers and staff were very plesent.
Played a 2pm $65 tourney at Treasure Island. Much to my suprise I was able to finish second. Wow was it wonderful to collect my $311. This was the high point of the trip. The poker room was nice with nice dealers and staff. Drink service was slow. The players were all good players with no suck outs, ect. I had a good time playing here but only made it to TI for this one tourney. You must have the ruben from Canters Deli if you are playing here.
At the Tuscany I played 2 10am and 1 7pm $25 tourneys. If you go here be sure to talk to TJ the room manager. He has to be the nicest person I've had the pleasure to shoot-the-shit with in a poker room. He runs the "friendliest" poker room in Vegas. Everybody at the Tuscany were great. Dealers and staff were very nice and conversating. Drink service was really good. The muffins I ate from the small cafe for the morning tourneys were awesome. You will find at The Tuscany alot of the players are locals who play the morning tourneys daily. While not so talkative they were plesent. I liked the morning tourneys best and you will find if you play the evening tourneys, they are very different. Mornings had 2 tables Wed. and 4 tables on Thurs. Alot of loose play in the evenings, with 6 tables, and no-one lets go of any ace. I had a very relaxing time playing at The Tuscany.
At the Imperial Palace the poker room was ajoining the main casino floor but it wasn't distracting. If you are on a front table you will have a few spectators. I played one 12pm tourney here with two tables going. Didn't cash here but had fun as all the players were good players. Saw the best lay down here, a suited AQ was laid down to QQ with a Q on the flop. I liked the IP. $2 comps per hour. The dealers were nice and professional. Michael had to be the coolest dealer I met while in Vegas. I think it was Sandra(from Skolovia) who was absolutely smokin hot and very personable and professional. I finished my trip off here at IP playing 2-4 Limit. I wish I had played it earlier on insted of my last day. The players were good players and many stayed at the table for long periods as I did (8hrs). This had to have been the most fun I had playing. All the players talked and joked and had a great time.
All in all I had a GREAT time for my first trip to Vegas. I saw alot of the casinos, took alot of pictures, and especially had a good time hiking in Red Rock Canyon one day. It was here at allvegaspoker that I learned about Red Rock. Thanks to the members here for the info and I will be back to Vegas next year.

Was this your first trip to Vegas this year or first time ever? If the latter, how did you get a comped room?? I'll be there in a couple of weeks and a comped room wouldn't hurt...lol

if you play at any Harrah's property nation wide you will get comps for any of their hotels. I stayed in Tunica and used my comps for a vegas trip
