Arrived in Vegas early Sunday morning with wife and another couple. The other guy is a poker player also. This was my second trip to vegas and the other 3's first. We were staying in the Luxor so we decided to hit up their sunday $33 buy in. The boss told us they were trying something new and gave 2k in chips instead of their normal 1200. 19 players started I only played two hands: one from big bling qjos and folded on flop and when i was all in with 88 vs q10 with 11 left....i got 11th. But my friend got 3rd and made his money back plus mine. We made a deal where if one guy makes the money then the other will give him his buy in back to keep us from losing too much. Next day we hit the planet hollywood $60 buy in 10am tourney...great tourney, good structure, good dealers, plus the players are not the best in the world. We both bust out in the 20's out of 46 and decided we are playing it all day the next day....we had to meet the wives for dinner and a show....Blue Man Group. It was awesome i thought i could take it or leave it, but i will definately want to see more shows they were really good it was tons of fun. Next day i head back to PH to play in 10am alone...friend was sleeping off the drinks the night before. Had about 43 players and i was first to go bust...i was catching great cards, but other people were catching better. 4 hand in a row i raised and was reraised all in either before or after the flop. I folded 3 then on the fourth i raised pre with AQos and got called by 1 flop came a q x two diamond (i dont have diamonds) i bet he goes all in i call he has 7 5 diamonds...turn is crusher i am first out and dont re-enter. We both come back to play in 2pm where about 58 players sign up. They pay top 6 and we both make final table and we chop $270 nine ways. The blinds were high no body was really high or low. We then play in the 7pm and with about 25 players left out of 43 my buddy raises in first position so i know he has good cards...i am in late position and move all in for 4700 with KK he calls with 4600 with AA and i am out (after next hand) he cashes though and i get my money back! Next morning we play in the 10am 1 more time and both make final table out of 43. They won't chop this time even though nobody is high or low. We had 2 guys that would not chop no matter what and i guy missed money and other guy was horrible but beat me...my friend got 8th just out of the top 6 money and i got fifth for $193. Had a great time and made a little money playing tourneys and roulette. Had a great time. I will definately go back maybe next summer.
