Played 1/2nl at the Nugget (Nice room, but way smaller than it looks like in the pictures. Not alot of room between tables. Heard 'excuse me' quite a bit. Bad the bad play made it worth it.)

Binions(rock garden--don't play unless you have an Ipod, patience and a tolerance for ADD dealers who get easily distracted.

MGM(sweet huge room, bad players all over, kinda loud cus of the bar next door though, but the eyecandy scenery if you're on one of the tables at the rail across from the lion habitat will give you whiplash. Worse players were here, playing home game poker. Made $600 in two sessions.

TI(just played a $65 tourney there and bubbled out when my all in AK got flushed by A9s on the river. There's 2 hours I'll never get back. lol

I decided to go to the Venetian for my last day, since I was up about $1200 for the trip, just to say I played in one of the 'nicer' rooms in Vegas.

So I get there about 8am and there's one 1/2 game going, and it's filled with like 5 locals who all know each other and are doing their social club thing. The games pretty good though cus they're limping alot of pots and calling some questionable draws. I got my $200 buy in up to about $350 after a couple hours thanks to a few big hands I caught.

But the hand that stands out goes thusly: I'm 3rd to act with pocket Jacks. UTG raises to $20--this young asian kid wearing shades and a hoodie, not that I'm stereotyping at all, who had been splashing around quite a bit trying to bully the table and was pretty loose.
So I call the $20, see what the flop brings and decide from there.

Fop is J 2 2. Sweetness! He bets $45. I call.

Turn is 6. He bets $75. I call. He gives me a look over his shades and ask me if I have a duece.

I'm just bopping my head, listening to Nickelback on my ipod.

Rivers an A. He bets $250, I shove my stack, he instacalls and flips his pocket aces over. Ouch!

How sick is that? He even apologized saying he put me on AJ. Well, that's poker, painful as it is sometimes. Nice hand sir. I reload for $200.

I got him back about an hour later when he was on the button and made his usual $20 raise and I had the aces in my big blind. I smooth call and the flop is A K 4. he bets I call. Turn is an ace...

Cha-ching! I check he bets, I call. He looks at me and asks if I have jacks again.

I'm bopping to Rush this time.

River is a 10. I'm kinda pausing, then bet 1/2 the pot, about 150 now. He raises all in, I instacall this time and flip my quads. Poor guy had pocket kings.

All in all I played there 7 hours til I had to catch my flight and made about $500, so the entire was paid for and then some. Oh and the waitresses there are by far the best I had seen the entire trip. Nice short skirts and cute as all hell. Could use some work about their promptness, but I'm nitpicking.

Most of the rooms were pretty loose and action filled, especially MGM, where alot of tourists played. I was actually a little apprehensive about going to the Venetian, cus I thought that'd be where the bighsots would be, but it turns out the fish are there for the same reasons I was: To say they played where the big boys play.

Did I mention that I say Paul (X-22) Magrill? Dude looks wierder in person than he does on TV. lol

I went to Vegas with $4000 in my wallet, and with food, cabs (OMG!!! Do they charge by the block?!?) Bowling, which was the whole reason I was there in the first place), all the poker played, and souvenirs for the family, I came back with $4900.

And that was after I upgraded my flight home to 1st class for $100 just cus I wanted to spoil myself. Nice big leather seats, free alcohol, and hot stewardessess.lol
