Went to Vegas for the first time from April 5-10. My husband and I stayed at Harrah's and loved it! Their poker room was really great. The staff was friendly and seemed well organized. I loved the dealers, they were constantly making me laugh! The drink service was the best we had at any casino the whole trip. Drinks were very fast and the CWs were pretty friendly too. I had never played limit before but the hubby suggested I start out with limt so I bought in for the minimum and lost it pretty quick when some birthday girl busted my pocket kings with her 6 4! After that I only played 1-2 NL and did ok. I had never played in a casino setting before and I did ok. Won less than $50 though overall. Hubby played the $150 deepstack tournament and he loved it. He didn't cash but thought the structure was great and wanted to play it again but always missed the start.
IP- we went to IP to play in a $60 or $65 tournament. I don't usually play tournaments but went anyway. It had 16 people and we didn't really enjoy it. I busted on the bubble after the blinds shot up. Hubby got 3rd. We won't be playing at IP again we just didnt like the vibe. Hubby did say they had the best looking CWs of all the casinos.
Treasure Island- I didn't play here but I will post my hubbys thoughts. He played 5 tournaments here and did very well. He won 2, got 2nd once, and 3rd once, and busted once. He really enjoyed the management and tournament structures. The only thing he didn't like about it was the drink service and the location of the bathrooms. He actually got lost trying to find the bathroom and missed some hands during a break.
