August was my first time playing poker in Las Vegas. I am a usual player in Atlantic City. I first played at the Stratosphere where I was staying. At first I was little discouraged from the small amount of people playing a ring game (only 1 table). I got a seat after waiting for about 20 min. After an hr or so, figured most of the players there were tourist and didn't really have much of a sound fundamental of the game. Many hands were won with bottom pair, with no apparent draws. Within 2 hrs I almost tripled up. During the early evening some dealers from other casinos came to play. They were bit better but still easy prey. They made the same error after error trying to adopt a loose aggressive style (Was able to limp with monsters preflop then get raised after I reraised). Overall stratosphere's competition was very easy for an experienced player.
