Binions Rocks
This was the slowest I've seen Vegas. Binions even cancelled one of their tournies for lack of participation. If you're an early bird, or late bird Binions has the tournement for you. Over Christmas I don't think they had more than three tables for any tournement. For the most part the players were adequate; you always get a few who don't know what they're doing, but don't let that fool ya. There are plenty who know how to play. Be prepared to spend a few hours if there are more than four or five tables. The blinds go up slowly, and smart players can build a stack rather quickly.
Fitzgeralds was also sparcely populated, but the cometition was good, and played in a friendly atmosphere. If you tire of the hustle on the strip, downtown offers some good poker for cheaper, and easier entry.

Plus Fitzgerald's's has Grant, my favorite dealer from TI next to Chris and Cindy.
Thanks for posting the report. Good to know!
