Just got back from a 3d2n weekend from Vegas of pure cash game in poker. I love tourney but it's very hard to make money or even cash, so I decided to play ring game only this trip.

Played on Friday at Caesars. Found out that they have a new tourney at 7pm daily, $160 for 10K TC, 30 mins blinds, no shuffler though. They also change to tax form policy, they don't issue tax form until $5000 winnings vs $500 before. So, I'll definitely give them a try. My table was loose, with 1 newbie. Met a local called Tony who was a super nice guy, solid player I might add. Anyway, no major hand I can recall, won about $40 with AA. Left and checked in Bally's, had dinner at Bellagio which was awesome! Then, played at Flamingo Hilton. The $1/2 NL table I sat at was extremely tight, you wouldn't be able to squeeze out more than $15 from any player. So, I switched to a brand new table which is much better (a good mix of solid players and loose players). Played for almost 3 hrs and really falling asleep. Only a couple interesting hands. A few guys limped in, I raised to $10 from cutoff with QQ, button called, 1 previous loose limper called. Flop A 5 3, first guy betted out $30, I thought he might not have an Ace but I still had a guy behind me to worry about. I folded and they ended up showing only pair of 5!! Talk about playing loose!! Later on, same loose villan raised to $5 only from early positioin, I raised to $15 with QK, got 2 callers. Flop 8h, Qs, 6h. Villan betted out $30 and I pushed all in for $70 total, got rid of 2 late guys and villan called. He didn't turn over his card, so I kept mine to myself. Everyone was guessing that he had AA. Turn another heart, River a K. He turned over a flush and the table mates said a flush in disbelief (he caught 2 previous runner before), I was so mad to lose to a flush with trip, I just mucked my hands and tapped the table as I left. Then, I realized I had QQQKK fullhouse when I clocked out. I should have turned over my hands!!! -$100 Went to bed really mad at myself.

Day 2 to redemm myself! Went to Caesars again, only to find a really really tight table again. So, headed to Paris and found out that they don't even have a poker room. So, continued down to Planet Hollywood. Seated at a brand new table with only 4 players. Pit boss said it's free, no rake. So, we began to play. The game finally filled up to 7 players. 1 hand I can remember: 3 limpers and I limped along with 35 spades. Flop A 2 10 with 2 spades, I was on flush and straight draw, so I betted $7 into $8 pot. Got 1 caller, turn another spade, bingo flush! I betted $25 into $22 and got called. River a brick, I went all in with the rest of about $50. Villan called turning over a higher flush!! I tapped the table and left in disgust. I really didn't like the table, it's kinda like MGM table with a wood strip at the end of table. So, your chips and cards rest on the wood strip instead of the felt. -$100

Had dinner and went back to play at homebase of Bally's. 9pm and they opened a new $1/2 NL table with 9 players waiting. Got seated, very nice mix of players. 5 players and I tapped the table with A7 at BB, flopped A79 rainbow, I betted $20 got 1 caller, Turn another heart, I went all in trying to chase out flush chaser. He went into tank and called reluctantly with hands over his face. River a brick, and he turned over AJ, I double up with 2 pairs. Later, I limped with 55, flop 5 A 8 with 2 spades. He checked and I betted out $25, got called. Turn 8 of spades. He checked, and I slow played to check my boat (this time I could see the fullhouse since I was still awake LOL!). River another brick, he betted out $15. I Hollywood a little, raised to $45 and he called showing an inferior flush. Total +160 at Bally's.

Overall, lost about $40 for the trip, not bad with lots of poker. Wished I'd have won some intead. I am a little surprised how tight players are now at Vegas. They were generally quite loose when I played about 1/2 yr ago. What happened to all the splashing tourists who can't wait to ship off their money? I'll be back for New Year to try tournies that time. See u guys there, and thanks for reading. Feel free to give any feedback / comments.
