First off, I got a great deal on the room, staying four days three nights, at an average of $35 a night! You cant beat that! I know, the location isn't the greatest, but with the bus running up and down the strip at all times during the day, it isn't bad at all. It also gives you a chance to walk off that buffet from the night before and give you the chance to sober up, or wake up for that matter. One of my buddies that I traveled with is a big fan of the Asian massage parlors,(you know, the ones with happy endings). With about ten right across the street, he had no problem with his tense back, ha ha, right! But seriously, the decor isn't the greatest in the casino, but the dealers are really friendly. They have games of all types with mostly lower limits. If you are a poker player, you may want to travel down the strip for a game. The room is very small, with usually one or two tables going at once. Most of the time they are dealing 1-2 no limit, but i am sure they will deal other if you asked. The players are fairly loose, with a lot of amateur playing taking place, but the daily s.n.g tournaments are cheap, at $60 a pop, with a pretty good blind structure. They usually one one in the morning, at 8am I think, so you will probably have to be stumbling back into the casino with the notion of going to bed to catch that one, but there is another one at 1pm i believe. Just keep in mind while playing, most of these players are going to be loose aggressive, so if you play a solid, tight, and well timed aggressive game, you should do pretty well.I'm not sure what the comps are here, but I don't think they are anything special. I wouldn't recommend making this a permanent poker playing destination, but if you are looking for a good room for your money and some decent poker action, I would definitely recommend the stratosphere.

  1. Thats not a bad deal, but you are still on the shitty part of the strip...if u go mon-thur u can get the same price ($35) for rooms at the IP and you are right in the center of the strip and can easy walk to all the nice big poker rooms with out waiting around for a bus or paying for taxi cab rides everyday....

  2. If his friend is happy to be able to jaunt across the street fur a rub & tug, then I guess they stayed in the right place.
