Where do i start,well i took my buddy to vegas to blow a tax return and that is exactly what i did, no thanks to him haha.
The trip started with a great flight from chicago, leaving 10 degree weather to go to a sunny warm 72, checked into the hard rock, which i must say is an awesome place if no one has ever been I strongly recommend it, great rooms, great staff and a great atmosphere (younger crowd) there were no old timers pulling slots and smoking anywhere in the place.
Night 1. Started off hitting up "center bar" at the hard rock, got a drink and walked over to try my luck for the first time at a casino in black jack. my trip partner played as well. sat down with 100, left with 125 and that was after getting all the way down to my last 20, so I cant complain about that much. my friend on the other hand well he lost his 100 and just walked haha.
Next we decided to play one of my favorite casino games, roulette, thats where i seem to be good (though there really isnt any skill to it) sat down with another 100 ended up getting all the way up to almost 300 in the first 30 minutes, betting mainly on odd/even and 1st 12, 2nd 12, and 3rd 12, This is where my friend comes into play mainly, he ended up losing his 100 again and when i was up and said okay im leaving, he kept calling me a "pansy" haha saying he wanted to get his money back, so i continued to drink and stay. BIG MISTAKE, next thing i know, im down to 20 and he is even and now HE wants to leave... so we do.. so now im up 20 bucks on the trip after beeing up almost 325 on the first night.
Later that night we hit up MGM (2am) and both sat down at different 2/4 limit, i played okay but kept getting people cathing with 2/8, J/4o, pretty much playing anything and i would get beat by 2 pairs of garbage on a continual basis, after about 2 hours of up/down/up/down play i left down 25 bucks, so now im down 5 bucks on the trip, my friend on the other hand is up 200+ for his session, go figure.
Day 2.
Decided to hit up the 4pm nl at strat, long story short my buddy finished 14th out of 40+ while i finished 11th A/J to A/A, Flop was A/R/10 turn was a J, we all know how that ended HAHA.
went to that 50s diner there next to the room and had a burger and a shake, rode the lil bike they had in there, was a good time. After food time we both sat down at a 1c slot machine, WoF one at that, put 5 in, walked out with 37 and some change. so that was half my poker buy in.
Later that night we ended up meeing an old local friend who moved out there last summer and ended up cruising the strip and casinos going to various bars, blowing money on drinks for beautiful woman for no reason other then they looked good.
DAY 3, woke up with a GREAT hangover. and decided to take the daytime ez and just walk around and see things nothing to major during the day here.
That NIGHT on the other hand was a different story, played multiple table games, got totally hammered while which was a big mistake cuz i woke up down 300 on the night YAY! never play hold'em against the casino. E V E R haha.
Final Day.
slept till about 4pm, played a few more table games, placed a few bets on sports (my friends specialty) and wouldn't u know it, he missed on everything, and i followed his bets.. damn lakers..
Ended up buying into the Sahara's 7pm (or 8) dont remember the time, anyway, 3rd hand BB looks like this
Hole cards 4/4.
Checks around with 4 players.
Flop = 4/k/k Rainbow.
Check to me, i bet 150 (blinds are 25/50)
Fold
Fold
Call
Turn = Qs
Guy to my left bets 250, i raise to 750, he sits on it for a min then raises to 2000 even... i call. i should have just gone all in here damnit.
River = 9d
So the board is 4/k/k/Q/9
he checks... now i don't know if i did this right or not, maybe i should have checked to see his cards but i flopped such a good hand in my eyes i wanted more $$$ haha. bad me.
I go all in, he calls instantly... i knew i was in trouble.. he turns over K/9. i show my 4/4 and walk away.
my friend didn't play it he was watching some games.
then came another night of drinking and gambling to the extreme, and wouldnt you know it, didnt do to well..
Went to Oshea's and decided to sit down at a 1/2 with 100 bucks ended up playing ONE hand, ACES. there was this jag bag who was going all in on anything every hand and i just went all in with them and for the most part let everyone at the table know i had aces purposely knowing id get a call from the guy, sure enough he does. A/2 of clubs, my AA holds up and i take in an extra 90$ and sit for a bit then leave for the night seeing as i was drunk.
As we walked back to the room, i was approached by the hottest hooker i have ever seen in my life while waiting for the elevator to my room, the price was 600 and i went to bed alone.
HAHA, woke up and left at 115 back to chicago with a hangover for the flight and a cold from the weather change :( and 200 bucks left outa my 1200

YAY!

    Well, somebody's got to contribute to the fountain & light fund :smile:

    We stayed at HardRock a few years ago, the rooms are ultra-hip & contemporary and I love the sand-bottomed pool, very cool place, just hard for me to keep up w/ you youngsters now :smile:

    Nice TR BTW :smile:

  2. Sounds like you got your drinks worth :grin:....consider the loss as an entertainment expenditure :wink:

  3. Nice to see a post that is truthful.

    I went to Vegas, had a great time. Saw some hookers, I passed on them, and oh yeah I lost/spent $1,000 while I was there.

    Good T/R
