good profit, zero expenses
I just returned from Vegas last night. My buddy, who is a high roller (baccarat player) in Vegas suggested me to join him in this trip offering me a free stay in a high class comped room at the Flamingo. Let me tell you about the room first. Since my friend bets big and plays 48 hours non-stop baccarat, the casino has provided him with all the "good stuff" any player can dream about. He can stay free for as long as he wants and there is also a "lounge" restaurant with a full bar for free. Drapes with a remote controller, the mirror in the bathroom that turnes into a TV screen, every day gift basket with fruits, chocolate etc made the stay especially enjoyable. So he invited me to go with him and enjoy all that good stuff. I did not have a big bankroll $600 only so I had no choice but to play very very tight. I started out at Flamingo playing 1-3 no limit, in 10 minutes I was up 50 and decided to leave the table since all the players at the table seemed to know what they were doing. So I went to Bally's and played NL 1-3. Competition was not that great, some real good players and some maniacs. I made 270 in 4 hours.
Next day, I went to play at the ceasar's palace. Just the same type of competition, actually even softer than at Bally's. Made 125 in 3-4 hours. Next day I played Paris tourney, took the 4th - another 45. Then played at Paris NL 1-3, really loose table - made 200. The next day I went to play at the bellagio once I was able to build my bankroll. At this point I am up 650. I bought in for 300 and played 2-5 NL. Perhaps the toughest competition I have seen, no maniacs, no fish, I mean at my table of course. My tight play paid off, I was up 500 and then lost 200 to a very good looking lady, who beat my Q high flush with her Ace high. Up 900 for the trip. I can consider it a success, since my buddy promised I can go with him and use his free "super room" and free food any time I want! Cool! Three things I can mention, which, I think, contributed to my success:
1. Never play anything else other than poker
2. Play very very tight, have PATIENCE
3. Rest and get enough sleep. I did something which was a miracle for Vegas. However impossible it may seem, I forced myself to go to bed at Midnight and woke up at 8:00am. Fatigue is a secret enemy eating away your bankroll.
Good luck everyone and thanks for your comments they helped my a lot.

Wow, looks like you caught the positive side of variance, congratulations.
@leoxxx
I agree with your self-imposed rules. But I think you may have missed some prime time poker by sleeping from midnight to 8:00 am. IMO the juciest games are probably between midnight and 5:00am.
do you and your friend want any company for the next trip???
Sounds like a great time, I don't think I could handle high stakes Baccarat, to me the game is nothing more than a coin flip....but that's just my opinion.
@leoxxx
I need friends like that.
