Hard Breaks at the Hard Rock
I had a day in Vegas to play poker and ended up staying in a hotel not far from the Hard Rock. Based on the reviews on this site, I decided to check it out. I found it to be an excellent poker room. Subdued lighting, personable and attentive staff, good music, and friendly but challenging play. I found the competition to be a good mix of skilled local players and some nervous tourists.
I played both cash tables and tournament. My only complaint about the tournament was that they let new players do a full-buy in an hour into it. I know that's not uncommon, but it's tough to have played a table for an hour and then have a couple of new guys show up with fresh stacks.
I found the staff to be especially helpful for someone who is used to playing at local tribal casinos. I would definitely play there again.

yes the hard rock is nice....i wish it was on the strip right in the middle....
