Starting Sunday night Jan.14th , played 1-2 N/L at the Paris , competition was mixed , some rocks, tourists and one drunk guy.Started with $200.00 , dwindled to $50.00 , then clawed back up to $400.00 before leaving. The drunk guy came later in my round otherwise I might have stayed longer if I had more time there , if you know what I mean.Monday morning I played the morning 9:00 tourney at Caesar's.Before the tourney began I played cash 1/2 N/L and managed to lose $200.00 to a slow playing trips lurker.Beware Caesar's as guys there will play patiently all night long and longer and will wait only for premium/nuts hands to clean you out.I had AQo and a Q high flop with 4 and another rag . I got slow played with pocket 4's. The tourney was good with a mix of solid players and tourists , long blind times and decent starting chips.I ended up splitting $1700.00 four ways ,so not bad. They have a draw whereby afterwards if you are playing in a cash game one hour later they will draw tourney player names for a jackpot draw.I managed to lose another $200.00 while waiting around , this time a slow played flopped full house ,oh yeah , and I didn't win the draw.In the morning the poker room seems a little sterile but gets better as the room fills and becomes somewhat noisier.I played some cash games at Bally's 1-2 N/L and lost around $25.00 for several hours of play , I cannot explain why I like to play there occasionally , it's smoky, noisy, etc. but I don't mind the vibe there.I played cash at Flamingo and also 3 tournies.FLamingo is reeking with tourists and making the final table is easy.I donked out early in my first tourney and in my second shared $1050.00 with 2 other players .My 3rd tourney was my best playing , I executed well that day making wise choices and stealing where opportunity allowed.Alas , I donked on the bubble and missed out on $600.00 first and $400.00 second prize. I placed 3rd where only 2 were paid that day , chips were too uneven to attempt a 3 way split. I was the small stack and got sucked out twice by one the other 2.(While heads up but cards not exposed)with medium stack , he checked then called my raise on a 8 high rainbow rag board ,I held 8,3 diamonds on the button .The turn was another nothing card and after he checked I raised all in and he called with 6,6 , river came a 6 .Crippled. On my last hand , I was in again with the same guy and I held A7o, the flop came Ace , 3 , blank rainbow. He checks , I go all in , he takes 5 days to think about it then calls with Ace , 5 offsuit.Turn comes a 4 , river is a 2 . I'm done but not tilting because I felt I made very few mistakes that day.As much as you want , you cannot win them all.

  1. Gordo,

I stayed at the Flamingo over the same dates as you. Sorry we missed each other! I only played one session at the Flamingo. Played at TI, Venetian, PH, and MGM.
