Arrived Thursday night around midnight from Shreveport, La. Self and wife get cab to Venetian and check in and go grab a bite at the Lux Cafe (decent). She heads to bed and I head to the poker room for a quick session. I last about 45 minutes (up around $60 or so) and head off to bed as well.

Early rise and back down to the poker room. I play for about 2.5 hrs and come out about even. I get busted on a hand when an a guy raises in ep and I reraise to about 30 on the button with AA. flop comes all clubs with an ace. I don't want the guy drawing to the clubs, so I fire out a bet of about 50 and the guy moves me all in for what was about 150 or so more. I go ahead and call and he's got the flush and the board doesn't pair.
Wife comes down, we decide to get out for some exercise and walk down to the MGM to check out the lion exhibit. On the walk, I get a text from my sports betting buddy who give me FSU +7.5 in the first half against UNC. I race to the Bellagio and bet a quick dolllar against my alma mater and then we keep hoofin it down to MGM (no lions) and then back home just in time to see the Noles cover the 1st have spread by 1/2 pt. Way to get started! I keep betting 100s throughout the day on college hoops and proceed to go 4-0 in total. I make my way back to the poker room and this time after about a 4 hour session I leave up around $400. Big hand comes when I raise in MP with qj spades and get a couple callers flop come a,8,x all spades I lead out for about 1/2 pot and some guy raises about 3x. I move in over the top and he calls with a set of 8s and doesn't improve. Head over to Caesar's with the wife to meet up with her three sister and their 2 husbands. We hang around there and the Bellagio for a few hours as they play blackjack and I get in a quick session of 8/16 in the poker room. I net a 1$ corona for my efforts after about 45 minutes and hang out watching georgetown crush somebody (WVU I think). Oh yeah, I see Kenny Tran in the high stakes area..pretty cool. Eventually I get bored and walk back over to the Venetian for some more poker. At this point, I'm slugging Coronas at a pretty rapid pace and can't exactly remember how I came out, but i think it was around even as I laid a few more sports bets for the night. I end the day up about +500 on poker and +100 on sports (took a hit on the sports in the evening). We meet up at Tao for dinner. That's the second time for me and I think it's enough. The vibe is fun the first time but the food isn't really that great (my brother in law ordered this seaweed sampler that really sucked). Off to bed.

Wake up and proceed to spend the entire day from 6am until dinner reservations at 9pm the next night at the poker table. Kind of sad, actually (the poker addict that i am). I play like a retard early on and proceed to bust myself out of two 300 stacks when I flop a set of fours and just call (stupid) on the flop and then bet into (and then move into, when raised) a turned straight. To be honest, I got so nervous when I flopped the set I didn't even see the straight (been a while since I'd done something that pathetic). The second bust came when I had kk in mp and raised to 20 and got a caller behind me and one in ep. Flop comes qjx rainbow and I lead out for 25, guy raises to 75 and I move in on his set of jacks. Down 600 for the day and back to the room for more $$. At this point I figure I'm around even for the trip and it reaches about 2 in the afternooon and I start up with the Coronas again. This really loosens up my play and I start to play better and build me next $300 buy in to around 600-700 (or maybe more - can't remember, I was pretty buzzed at this point). I have won several pots and have caught hands/raised alot when I get 88 on OTB. Several limpers and I raise to 20. get like 4 callers and the flop comes a, 10, 8 with two clubs. checks to me and fire out 40 and the guy in early position raises to 100. This guy had me covered. I thought for a while and reraised him another 150. He reraises me another 150 or so and now I think I've got like 400 or so left. At this point he tells me "I've got two pair". Now, I had seen this guy tell a few other players his hand on several occasions when he did have it. I finally just go all in and hes gotta call about 400 more and finally talks himself into calling and shows a8 for top and bottom pair. I dodge the two aces and drag a $1600 or so pot. Then I catch a few more sports bets and go back to the room realizing I was now up around 13-14 hundred for the trip. We head to Delmonico's steakhouse for dinner (steak was great). For me, wiped and off to bed. For wife, blackjack tables. I wake up around 7 to no wife. Finally call her sister and figure out she's been playing blackjack all night. She comes back to the room with her sister (bombed) at around 8am having netted over 1400 on blackjack. Sweet!

I play a little more poker that morning (+75)(check out with the poker rate), lose $100 playing holdem bonus poker ( a dumbass pit game- to that point I had totally abstained) and that pretty much does it - a winning trip!
