No more Wynn for me

My game is 4-8 limit holdem. Wynn usually has 2 tables of 4-8, but they do not have a must-move rule, which means my game kept losing players to the other table which was very annoying.

Also, their comp system is a joke. They give you $1 per hour but you are not allowed to cash out a comp until you have at least $20 accrued.

They also charge a full rake but do not have any jackpots.

No more Wynn for me.

Their rake is still 10% capped at $4 max on the low stakes games. I can't think of a place with a jackpot/bonus payout that doesn't charge an additional $1 for the jackpot drop.

I've been treated much better at Wynn than any other property when it comes to comp payouts; they even gave us a non-expiring line pass for buffet and coffee shop when we got our meals comped.

Not to argue that you should go back to the room, if you don't like it, you won't play well there. I avoid some rooms for that very reason.

  2. $4-8 is also my preference. Getting harder to find. Last week there was no $4-8 @ MGM even $3-6 was hard to find. Venetian and Bellagio have $-8 as their minimum game. The Venetian went to 1 table about 2AM on a Sunday. Bellagio had 2 tables all night. Anything anybody else can find on the strip? Thanks for the info on Wynn. I won't even try.

  3. I still think you should try the Wynn unless you never had the opportunity to play it. IKt is one of the top 3 rooms in Vegas. I find the room to be very good and you can't beat the cash games action. I think it may be the top cash game room in Vegas.

  4. Every place that I can think of that has a consistent 4-8 game on the strip has the exact same rake structure as the Wynn, and no jackpot.

  5. Admittedly it was a couple of years ago but I played $4/8 in the Wynn and I really liked it there. The games were juicy and the room was very well run. I didn't enquire about comps as I only played two sessions there but the rake was the same as anywhere else.

  6. 1. What are you going to buy at The Wynn for less than $20 ?

    2. I think that "The Table Balance System" is much better than "The Feeder Table System".

If there is an obnoxious, loud, smelly, "chatty kathy" at one table, - people have a right to change tables.
And if the number of players at two or more tables is equal, new players should be able to look the tables over, and go to the table of thir choice, and not be forced to join The Feeder Table ...

    ... just my $.02

Are there any rooms in Las Vegas that use a Feeder Table System ?

The Wynn is a very well run poker room, right next to the parking ramp; with really pretty cocktail waitresses...

... and I love the chairs.

The deli has some pretty good sandwiches, but avoid the "premium" sodas which are $5 a whack. Yikes!

  8. The pastrami is as good, ( if not better than) The Carnagie Deli at The Mirage.

  9. what???

this is all lol. The last time i was there the wynn had the best limit rake in the city. They didn't do 10%, but $1 at $10, one more at $20, one at $40, one at $60, basically something like that, so that it was usually $3 rake on the 4/8 tables and def. less than 10%.

For a tourist, the lack of a jackpot is a good thing. if you want to gamble to try to win a jackpot, i suggest playing the bonus at the Texas Holdem Bonus pit-games. Enjoy losing money.

I also find that casino's with 4/8 as their lowest LHE game (Bellagio, Wynn, ... other?) have the loosest/wildest 4/8 games.

and it sounds like you should've just changed tables, it's equal opportunity. I also highly doubt they would allow one table to be 9 handed, and another 6 handed after a player switches tables. Sounds like you lost money and want to be bitter about something.

I don't know what the rake on $4-$8 at the WYnn is, but the venetian is definately less than the reported 10% to $4.

  11. The rake figures I put up for Wynn came directly from the poker room staffer I called about 11 AM Sunday, not from my mad cow disease memory.

    yes it's something like 1/10, 1/20, 1/40, 1/70
i just meant $4 max rake; shouldn't have said rake structure

  13. the wynn is nice i just never make it down there cause its such a long walk from the IP and then back again...and there is just as nice of rooms with better comps closer.....

Which room are you referring to? I would have thought the Venetian, but has either property changed their comp policy of late? I thought they offered the same amount.

  15. I like any of Harrah's properties,i like the "total rewards card" all your comps go right on the card and u can go to any of harrah's properties and just swipe your card and comped at any of their restaurants, plus u earn points when u buys things from their gift shops......u don't have to check with anyone or track a floor down and get a paper comp, and if u want to know how much u have just put your card in a slot machine and your total will come up if it sayes u have 3,674 u have $36 u can get breakfast at the buffet...
