Trip report Vienna / 3 days / warning long report !!!!

I was traveling with another friend down from Stuttgart ( Germany ) to Vienna ( Austria ) for some poker action since here in Germany in the casinos they mostly play NL 5 / 10 which is a bit too high for my bankroll at the moment ;-)

The drive was a total of about 6.30 hours with no bigger traffic jams or damages of our car so it was a nice ride. Arrived in Vienna at around 4 o ´clock in the afternoon checked in the Hotel in the middle of the city and went straight to the Poker Casion called CCC http://www.ccc.co.at this is one of the biggest Card Casinos in Europe and there is only the game poker ! They play PLO / 7 card Stud /
Limit & NL Holdem and I think there were some mixed games running. For your interested there
is a Dealer who dealed in the last James Bond movie and is a regular dealer at the Casino nice to see a face from the cinema dealing your cards.

My friend has started to play some 25 euro Sit & Go´s at first were he didn´t run that well.
My path was going straight to the front desk and asking for a seat in a 1 / 2 Euro NL game
I was immediately seated because they had approx. 3 full tables running with that limit on a Friday afternoon at 4 o ´clock crazy in my opinion ;-) the table was full of some locals + 2 I guess Japanese tourists who just like to give their money away. I played at this table for approx. 4 hours and managed to get my starting stack from 200 up to 500 Euro´s with very solid play no bluffing catching goods cards + flops.

One hand of interest I was dealed A A in the BB all folded to the cut off seat who made it
16 to go the Button to my surprise made it 38 to go and he was a very tight player so I was expecting him to have K K I was sitting there and thinking that I don´t want to have another player in the pot and get sucked out so at this moment my stack was at approx. 280 Euros so I made it another 70 to go
the cut off folded and the Button immediately pushed all in I snap called and he shows K K lol.
No help for him so I took down a nice pot of approx. 350 Euro´s.

On Saturday we played in a 50 Euro rebuy tourney with a estimated prize pool of 20 000 Euros
This is a tourney way over my bankroll but wtf just play and try not to rebuy too much. Since I do not have a live bankroll now I do not have to watch for exact bankroll management. I made 1 rebuy at the start so I have 4000 chips to start with. I managed to double up to 8000 chips on the first hour without even taking another rebuy was dealed A A & A Q which gave me a good payout the blinds were going up every 30 min with 230 runners in the tourney. The next 1.30 hours nothing happened and I got blinded down a bit due of the lag of bad cards. When I was down to approx. 6500 chips I got dealed 10 10 on the button everybody folded to me the BB only had 4000 left and he said “ okay lets gamble and pushed all in “ was this a weak tell / move ??? or did he have the A A or K K I put him on crap and called he showed K 8 os……… and get runner runner to finish his straight up to the 8 crazy beat !!!
I was the shortest of all I guess and pushed 2 hands later with A 10 to get kicked out against A K
Finished at 105 ……

Jumped straight back in the cash game were a Greek guy was sitting and throwing money around like it was nothing I took my seat and the people told me this is the jackpot table this young Greek guy was a millionaire son from Athen and he didn´t had a clue about poker…. This was the craziest table I have ever been to if somebody raised to let me say 15 he always pushed all in with his whole stack and showed something like A 4 or 2 2 hahahaha at some point it worked for him 1 time and the guy who last against a bad hand went a bit crazy and the creek guy told him why are you getting angry its only a fun game and a little bit of money ;-)) haha I was watching the action a bit when I was dealed K K like always if somebody raised the greek guy moved all in I call and took down his whole stack of 200 euro´s….. he then left some minutes later and everybody was sad about it. I have never seen so many railbirds at a 1 / 2 table lol. By the way he lost approx. 2500 euro´s over 1 hour…..

So all in all I was going to Vienna with 1000 Euro´s and came back with 1500 Euro´s payed for the gas + the hotel because my friend was running totally bad!! So that ´s it for now sorry for this very long report but I love writing ;-) ….. if some of you high rollers ever get the chance to go to Vienna they also have much bigger limits running in a extra area I think the highest I saw was 10 / 20 & 20 / 40
