Six rooms in three days
Day 1 Sunday
play 1-2 NL at Ballys, short wait, but staff was helpful getting me seatad. Chairs were ok and table was in good cond. Poker room (not a room) was busy, slightly crowded, and a little noisier then I like but not too bad. The dealers were always on top of the game and kept the action moving. Waitresses came around often and were friendly but nothing special visually. Players were a mix of tight rocks and "aw-shucks"
tourists who limped into every pot then folded to any raise over 5x. finished up $12
Go to Flamingo. Again short wait and floor did a good job getting me seated. Poker room is in a great location but that's it. The high hand jackpot is scrawled out on a jiffy marker, the cards looked faded and old, and the table I was at, the rail was lifting and the #6 seat kept loosing chips in the crack! Finally the dealer stuffed a napkin in the crack (?!) Speaking of dealers, these aren't a good bunch. Mis-count chips, loose track of the bet, expose cards, you name it. The worst thing was when a player pointed out a marked card, tha dealer licked his thumb and rubbed the mark off with his spit and kept using the deck.
The waitress brought drinks fairly quickly considering she was about seventy years old. I think she was working the night Bugsy opened the joint. (sad really) Anyway, got down early, then doubled up with Q-Q, finished up $18
Day 2
1-2 NL again at Planet Hollywood, this time I was seated right away. The brush and dealers were friendly and experienced, the competition was fairly good and this is one of the newest and nicest poker rooms in Vegas. Roomy with comfortable chairs and nice felt tables but...and this is a BIG but, the poker room is located next to the karaoke bar. The thing about karaoke is, it's rarly good, sometimes funny, and usually pure hell! So there I am trying to calculate pot odds with some drunk hillbilly belting out Coal Miners Daughter.
The waitresses were very young and hot on average, just not the one I had, oh well still a very good poker experience, finished up $14
Go to Harrahs. My first fully enclosed poker room. while waiting for 1-2 I noticed a mixed game with LOTS of action. I asked the brush what's up and he told me every monday night they run 2-4 limit H.O.R.S.E. and on this night they actually had two full tables. The table I was watching substituted the E with badugi. This is a great way for anyone who wants to try horse for a low buy-in.
Anyway, one hour after I'm seated, I'm up $125. This is one of the most un-experienced bunch of fish I have ever seen anywhere! Dealers were good and waitresses were fast but nothing to look at. Still very good overall experience at Harrah's.
Go to Imperial Palace (why, I don't know)
After a positive experince at Harrahs I thought the I.P. might be a let down and I was right. A cramped room wedged into a noisy casino with crappy chairs and chips that feel like plastic. Seated immediatly for 1-2 NL at a table beside a young woman and across from her boyfriend who constantly spoke Muslim or Hindu or something other than English and were warned by the dealer 3 times. Then, new dealer, more jibberish, no warnings and it became obvious there was collousion betwen the two as they talked during hands, after 2 orbits I picked up my chips and walked away. Didn't see a waitress the short time I was there and will never be back.
Day 3 Tuesday
9:00 AM Hangover Tourny at Ceasers Palace
Save the best for last I guess. This is the biggest and roomiest poker room in Vegas, fully enclosed and pretty quiet at 9:00 am. The tournament was a good structure and slow blinds for a smally buy in. ($65) Everything was very professional, staff, dealers waitresses the works. A side note about the waitresses, their uniforms look like they came from a college toga party! Anyway, made the final table and busted out two from the money.
I hope this report is helpful for anyone reading it, as I had a blast. Love this town and Love allvegaspoker.com.

Sounds like you had a good time and left positive a little bit. I am heading down in May and your post has me pumped to win some money.
BTW Muslim and Hindu are not languages.
Great report, maybe the most efficient I have read.
LOL
