Vegas...A Trip Full Of Firsts

This trip was full of firsts….

Seen the "wheel" at TI but never had a hand to qualify for a spin.

Played my first ever Craps session, at IP of all places. I was staying there and decided to try it out after my regular losing session on the first night of almost every one of my Vegas trips. After watching for about 15 min. I decided to buy in for $100. Went up and down and after an hour of play, decided to walk away with my initial buy-in. Intended to go back later in the trip but never did, probably a good thing.

I met LVM for the first time. Great guy, even though he took me off a big hand.

I had my first 15 hour session. 15 hrs straight at one table at Harrah’s of all places. Even left +EV on the bankroll. Fairly loose game throughout the session, even through all the player changes. Seen players come back for their 2nd and 3rd sessions while I was there.

Drank while playing poker. I don’t mean the odd Baily’s and Coffee but I mean drink during most of the session. It’s a big thing with me, I prefer not to drink while I play, but it’s probably part of why I didn’t realize that I was playing a 15 hr session.

Hit my biggest cash in a tourney. Played the $160 7pm deepstack at Caesars(a first as well). Played the 1-3 NL prior for a couple of hrs. Was up & down with 2 wild players. Finally left the table with the $160 ahead and about 5 mins left to buy in (within the first hr) to the tourney. Long story short, I freerolled my way to 4th place out of 61 players.

Every tourney I played in, was pretty much a free roll by winning the buy-in on the cash game first.

Played 1-2 NL at Bally's for the first time. Nothing exciting. Only played there once before, about 4 or 5 years ago. I was playing 3-6 Limit at that time and didn't have a great experience.

Got to see the unveiling of the new table felts at Harrah's. Which need to be changed for the second time.

Played the 15-30 Limit at Bellagio. Walked away a big +ev to the bank roll.

Last day...

Had my first losing session(for this trip) at Harrahs.

Went back to 15-30 at Bellagio and lost another big chunk.

All in all a very positive trip other than the weather ( mar. 22-26th). Won on pretty much every cash session, except for the last day of the trip(as per usual on all my trips to Vegas). Still left on the +EV side of the bankroll at the end.

Until next time…

Hussein
