Care to expand on your thought process on your first piece of advice? Taking 20 seconds to call sounds like needlessly slowing the game down to me. Since I play at a small advantage (that is, I have a positive hourly rate in most poker games I play), this seems like it is cost me a few cents with every delay. So, what am I getting in return for playing a hand or two less each session? Do you think the delay reeks of a stronger hand pondering a raise/re-raise (such that you are less likely to be raised in turn)? If not, what advantage or advantages do you gain? If waiting 30 seconds even more effective than waiting 20 seconds? How do you determine the right amount of time to wait?
