Montreal and its surrounding areas are replete with many high-class poker rooms. Evidence of this is given by the visit of the prestigious World Poker Tour to Playground Poker Club. This venue accounts for around 20 of more than 100 poker tables to be found in this area of Quebec. Even when the poker media have departed after the WPT, a devoted core of local players drives an unrelenting poker scene.
