Cat's Paw Card Room

I’ve played in card rooms across the country and this is the first time it made me question the likelihood of fair play. I will simply outline my experience and you can draw your own conclusion. I sat down in the self described dive bar that has 3 tables. Each table was a $1/2 NL HL table. I busted within 30 minutes, which is not noteworthy, except for the hands that were dealt in the 30 minutes. In my first 3 hands pocket aces were dealt 3 hands in a row and 5 of my first 10 hands. They held up once. I was dealt QQ, JJ, 88, 55. With QQs I was called by someone with a weak 10 and they flopped 3 10s. With JJs they held up to no action. With 88s the flop was 8/A/blank and doubled up a short stack that flopped a set of aces (one of the 5 pocket aces). With 55s the flop was 5/A/8, turn 9, river queen …you guessed it I busted against 10/J. Other hands included full house over flush, set over set, and can’t remember one showdown that was less than two pair. All these hands in isolation, not crazy, but in 30 minutes left me with a lot of questions. You decide.
