The Tropicana has spent a lot of $$$ to open a beautiful, new, 6-table room. There are plasma TV's all over. They have the newest Genesis gaming software and Gary Platt chairs for all of the players.
On opening day (April 15) the crowd was a mix of tourists and locals. There was a lot of money splashing around in the 3/6 LHE and some excellent play in the 1/3 NLHE.
Tropicana has obviously taken time in hiring their dealers. There were some of the best dealers from many of the other successful rooms in Vegas. They has WSOP, Venetian, Bellagio, and MGM dealers that are technically professional and excellent at guest service.
There is a bar right outside the poker room with a dedicated server for the room.
Customer service appears to be the motto for the staff. They were very helpful with every question asked.
The offer progressive high hands for natural quads and straight flushes. Obviously they have started low on opening, but they will increase rapidly as the room takes off.
