On February 7, 2015, our non-profit organization, The Battle Buddy Foundation, is hosting its First Annual Poker Tournament at The Garage in Los Angeles, with the goal of raising the $25,000 required to specially train a certified service dog for a Veteran suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, or other physical limitations, and to cover the cost of the dog’s care for one year. The Garage is located at 3387 Motor Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90034.

There will be up to 12 grand prizes including one of several round trip airfare to anywhere in the continental U.S. from Southwest Airlines, a 3 day/2 night stay at Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, several 5 day/4 night stays in Cancun, AND MORE!

Event begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 12:00 a.m., doors open at 6:00 p.m.. Entrance/Donation fee is $75 and includes your initial poker chip package. Thereafter, there is Rebuy ($50) and Double Rebuy ($100) before 8:00 p.m., and an additional Add-on option is available for $75. Specialty drinks from our sponsors and hors d'oeuvres are complimentary from 6:00 - 7:00, and The Garage offers a full service bar, happy hour and dinner menu as well. www.garagemotorave.com

“Founded by Veterans to Serve Veterans,” The Battle Buddy Foundation (TBBF) exists to effect long term and tangible change in the lives of veterans of all eras. TBBF is dedicated to making a positive, healing impact in the lives of injured veterans by providing psychiatric and mobility service dogs at no cost. We provide an opportunity for veterans to “continue the mission” through personal responsibility in our service dog program, and to give back through volunteer work and community events. We provide a channel for veteran and family support through our Veteran Peer Program and National Community Veteran Resources. TBBF is dedicated to educating the public and corporate sectors regarding the issues currently facing our nation’s veterans.
