I run a home game poker league with about 20 guys. Our format has a year end tourney. This is our 10th year and we want to have the final tournament in Las Vegas. I am looking for a hotel/casino that will let us have our home game tourney and provide us with 2 tables, chips & dealers. Has anyone done this before or have any recommendations?

Thanks in Advance.

  1. I recommend contacting Rob Moore at MGM Grand and asking him. They might allow you to do that with some fees paid to the house for their staff....or he might tell you that the NV Gaming Control Board doesn't allow it. In any case, he will be a good resource for you...and he is usually good about making himself available for players that have questions. MGM's phone number is at http://www.pokeratlas.com/poker-room/mgm-grand-las-vegas

  2. I know many Vegas casinos will accommodate private tournaments. Golden Nugget, Luxor, MGM, Venetian to name a few. It is completely legal, you only need gaming approval for things like charity events where a portion of the buy-ins are going elsewhere (other than back to the players). I do not have any info on the costs though. Best bet is to just call the poker rooms and ask.

  3. The 'Mirage'.. they cater for private tourns, and let you choose the structure, starting chips, everything. They will even give you a great room-rate. Just call 702-791-7291 and speak to Susan.
