I played there yesterday from 10 a. m. to about 1:45 P.M. and was at the first table to begin play. I had a really good experience (left with extra bucks in my pocket). Hourly rate is like other rooms $13, but no seat fee is charged between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The room is big, but only 3 tables playing right now because it has just opened. Security was at the location, and it was all around, a good experience. I will definitely be going back. As for the seat fee waived, that is at least through the end of the month, and might be extended into July.
I went there yesterday to investigate. Here is what I learned:
Time is $13 an hour OR $55 for five hours OR $200 for 200 hours. You can play daily for $10 or monthly for $30.
They haven’t had a grand opening yet. They just had a “soft” opening. Maybe this is an excuse for opening when not everything is ready, but they plan to have big promotions when the grand opening happens, like splashing the pot and $300 hot hands.
The chips are slippery because they are new.
The players are bad. Goodness. I pushed with AKs and got called by AJo and 88. The guy rivered an eight. Some guy called a big all in with only top pair. There were straddles every hand, and pots often reached $200 before the flop because everyone was calling middle sized bets.
They have weird things like three boards. If someone wins two, they get two thirds of the pot. Also, unlike at TCH, you can run multiple boards when there are more than two people all in.
You can straddle from the button at $2/$5, but they don’t have stack match at any tables (the only table open was $1/$2, anyway).
It is a nice room, just a terrible location. Good chairs. Good tabes. The dealers are okay. But the location is far (for me, at least) and in a sketchy place.
