First tournament went very well

Well here it is, my very first casino tournament and I manage to take 9th place out of 80. It was such a great experience and I had a lot of fun.
Started out a little nervous just because it was my first tournament and didn't know what to expect but after a little while I got the hang of it and really started having fun. I was playing mostly tight and conservative, since I wanted to stay in and a lot of others were calling all ins like crazy so that they could take other players bountys. Turns out my strategy got me all the way to the final table, which was very surprising. I got down to only a few blinds a couple of times and had to go all in, but the cards were on my side and I stayed in the tournament. Ended up only playing two hands at the final table since I got there with less than what the big blind was at the moment.
Took home $89 and bought in for $45, so I'd say it was a pretty good night. The poker room at Pechanga is very very nice, and the dealers and staff are all friendly and professional. I would highly recommend checking out this poker room if you are ever in Southern California.
Congrats! I play there all the time. Out of the 4 or 5 I have played I finished 7th two times. Keep up the good work.
Just played there for the first time last week, while working in the area. 1st night won high hand promo, which they pay hourly, and cashed out for more than double my buyin. 2nd night ended up chopping final 6 places in tournament for $300+ each. 3rd night played 5 card Omaha 8 and almost doubled buyin. Never won 3x's in a row anywhere and can't wait to get back down there. Might just move there.
