Got into Vegas at 1 am friday nite. Here for the weekend with the sole desire of hitting as many poker tournaments as possible. After going over this sites tournament schedule my husband and I decided to try to make Paris for the 3:30 am tournament. The tourney schedule has now changed there. It is 9:30am, 1:30pm and 7:30pm
We played the 9:30 am tournametn Sat am (after walking all the way to the Riviera and back to check out other tournament schedules along the way) I took 4th in the tournament. Approx. 4 tables, average players. My husband went from there after busting out to play at Bally's 11 am tourney. We played this tournament a year ago where in 4 days I was in the money 3 times (1st, 3rd and 4th). Its a good tournament always get its maximun of players (40 or 50) He had no luck. After dinner went for Harrahs $100.00 tourny at 7;30 pm. Quite a few locals play, and above average players. Took 4th after not playing very many hand the 1st hour. Went to Stratosphere for its midnite tourny. WHAT a mistake. You can rebuy in up to the first hour if you bust out. Bunch of low level calling stations that play everything. Like beginners nite. Must get lucky or wait it out. I got disgusted ond bombed out early. Went to bed at 4 am and up by noon to play Planet Hollywood tourney. Nicest poker room yet. Lots of room, great dealers and fun players. When we down to 4 of us remaining we chopped pot (everyone got right about 2nd place money) One little mix up over chop due to one angry fellow but the pit boss made things right in the end. Headed back to Paris for 7:30 tourny, no cards.(but paigow tables were fun). Leaving the next morning at 9am so thought I could get in one more. Back to Planet Hollywood for 2am tourney. When we were down to two tables, One guy had an overwhelming chip lead (flash Gold in WPT main event). Got to final table and doulbed up a few times. My first experience playing against an overwhelming chip stack. But luckily he doubled up the five remaining players at the table at least once. I took 3rd. Gold impersonator managed to come back from his lo to take 1st. so that was 4 tournamets out of 6 in the money, not to bad for 60 hours and no sleep.
