recently came back from vegas, went to play 2/5 at bellagio. sat in with $500 and started playing very aggresive and loose. easily gave away the first buy in in less than 1/2 hour. It was my intention to make everyone on the table think that i'm either on crack or i don't have a clue about this game at all (or both if i was lucky). whatever the reason it worked, everyone on the table was dying to be in a hand with me because to them i looked like a broken ATM machine that was just spewing money.i miraculously trippled up to everyones surprise and most of the table thought i was just as stupid as when i started the game and was just getting lucky.. i get 3s5s on the button and raise it to $45 , i get 5 callers ( i dont think they wouldeve called if they didnt think i was on crack). flop came As4s9d, everyone checked to me and i made a continuation bet of $125 to make it seem tht i wanted to steal the pot. all but one person calls.turn brought 7s, made my hand but i knew with that many caller theres atleat one there with a better flush than me. all check to me again so i bet out $300 to see who's got the hand. two players called me and they both have large stacks behind them covering me easily, but now getting a little nervouse about eachothers hand because its not the crackhead theyre trying to crack any longer but find themselves going against eachother. river brings 2s making me the ultimate nuts knowing that im only getting paid at that point from the ks. first to act bets $500 gets reraised allin from second to act (ks lol) i obviously call and knowing hes at a loss with no spades in his hand but did have a set of aces folds. i show my hand and hear a lot of wtf's flying around the table and it dawned on them that they got played by a quite crackhead with no idea about the game.cashed out $4,700 with a profit of $3,700, tipped the dealer $50 and got up.. next time someone sits at your table acting like a fool, dont be so quick to believe it........

  1. That's awesome man. Maybe I should try the same thing come Labor Day weekend. Not gonna played with scared money so it doesn't matter to me if I lose a buy-in. Maybe that will give me confidence to play very aggressive (smart Tight Aggressive of course) & not give a $hit about getting caught bluffing

  2. To krs1 and ImSoLoi, IMHO, krs1 walked away with a big win primarily because he got lucky (hitting a straight flush gutty on the river. the only card that would give him a winner.) not because he played "aggressive and loose" with his first buy-in. While it may have resulted in other players playing hands they would not otherwise have, most good players would be waiting for the right opportunity to bust him. Before hitting his miracle card, when he was facing really short odds, he had already committed another $470. Sorry, while the results were good, I don't consider that good play.

  3. I doubt someone with Aces wouldn't have re-raised you pre-flop.

Even less likely someone with a flopped set of Aces wouldn't have re-raised your $125 post flop bet with 2 spades out there.

In addition, assuming the player with the Ks also had another spade, why wouldn't they have raised the turn bet of $300? Only other card they could have called with would have been the case Ace.

  4. Someone with 3 Aces is gonna fire $500 into a pot with 4 spades on the board?

    No effing chance.

  5. @AhiPoke

I agree. I can't wait to get in a game with the "actor", who believes his own bs.

  6. lol...kind of seems like you continued to play like a wild crackhead but then hit a miracle. ...i was expecting a continuation story about how you proceeded to tighten your game up and trap unwary opponents who thought you were a loose cannon.
