my son and I flew in from detroit at 9;30 and were at Ballys by 10;45. We ran in to the usual problem there. It seems whenever we have a discounted room they give us the worst room they have the first night. Once we had a romm with a spotlight that lights thr outside of the hotel right outside our window.This time the only non smoking double they had was a handicapped romm. The shower is part ofthe bathroom floor and covered with slime.. they would not change the room until the next day.We had a great deal [57 for 3nites] so they relly dont care if you complain. Well the next morning July 2 [after having the nomal Flamingo breakfast buffet] we head over to therio at 9;00 am. we were tooo early for poker.. We were so anxius to play we signed up for the 4175 sattelite[satl]. You are paid three 4500 chips to be used in any other tourney or satl,orcan be split by players at the end of the satl like a chopped pot. Well we were not ready for poker this early,and there was one pro going allin every three hands

continued neither of us cashed. We changed plans since I could not stay in vegas for two weeks and had to back to see my patients I would only play satl to win $500chips, and my son phil would play in the$500 satl. the 4500 satl was not transferable. I ended up chopping the next satl one chip plus $150 cash with Manny, My son did not win the seat for 10,000 tourneyafter getting jj busted three hours into the satl.We decided to meet the celebs and collect some pictures. The colletion started with Greg Raymer,JJ Liu, Macel Luscke. Jamie Gold,Roberto Brenes,Elky,Johnny Chan, Eskimo,Scotty Nygn Chris Moneymaker,Antonio,Annie Duke,Jean-Robert Bellande, Don Phillips and about 5 pictures with Gus Hansen. The only one that would not take a picture was you guessed it phil helmuth . He said uhhh" I have to do something".

So the australian guy makes a speech. "This is the last time I will lay down a good hand to you " So I am playing tight waiting to double up. Im at about 55000 in chips are 3000-6000 with 300 antes. All folds to me on the button and I look down at KK . Iwant one player so I bet 15000 a little high I think. Small blind folds big blind goes allin fo 40000. This is the exact same thing that happened to me before on the bubble at caesars last year in the same tourney. So I call and he rivers an ace to cripple me. Next hand pocket tens ,I go allin.One caller who rivers a straight and I win $280. I think i played the KK right . But the other bubble story ende the same way on the river. I also cashe at the Planet Hollywood and played next to TJ Cloutier daughter. I made the money for 300 in a 7 way split. that is about all I played. But the best time to play tourneys in vegas is the end of July when the WSOP is running.,
