Our Team
Our President and CEO, Jon Friedberg, is a World Series of Poker champion, devoted entrepreneur, and lifelong poker and gaming enthusiast. Jon is joined by 25+ fellow gaming enthusiasts who all share his passion of providing the best information, the friendliest and most helpful community, and the greatest value for those ready to play.
Jon and his team typically spend their days building PokerAtlas, and their nights and weekends using PokerAtlas. What it all boils down to is that we are just like you, in that we love to play, we love getting the best value when we play, and we love helping each other in our decisions about where to play. Our team is based in the poker industry’s center of the action, Las Vegas, NV.
Our History
Jon Friedberg founded Overlay Gaming Corporation in 2011 as a holding company for AllVegasPoker, which became PokerAtlas in 2014. In 2015, we launched TableCaptain™, the gaming industry's most powerful and innovative Poker Room Marketing & Management software system. Today, in 2025, we provide software and media services to 300+ casino and card room properties around the world, and serve the interests of millions of fellow poker enthusiasts as their go-to destination for information and online registrations.
