Hialeah used to be one of the most beautiful horse tracks in the country. Now, it is one of the most beautiful and well run poker rooms.
The place has all different kind of games running and from the 3 I sat at, they all had two things in common. 1) there was an incredible amount of action. At the 1-2 game I sat at, 1,2,25 was not out of the ordinary with 4 or 5 callers at 25.
2) the 2nd common thread was the prevalence of the Spanish language. .players AND dealers. One guy complained about it and the dealer announced "English only" but he was pretty much ignored. I understand enough to know the players were not talking about hands, and I tried to reassure the guy they weren't talking about the hands in play, but understandably he wasn't comfortable.
In summation, it's a great room lots of action, great staff, great food and drink...just don't go if you're not comfortable with players not speaking English.
