The best thing about the MGM room is the room quality. You won't feel like you're in your standard poker room. The tables are probably the most expensive of all the rooms and the room is huge, so there is far more space between tables than any at the Bellagio or other top poker rooms in Vegas. Not being right in the casino is nice, because you don't hear the constant slot machine noises. However, if you don't like music this room is not for you since they constantly play music on the floor above.
I played a 10-20 game and a 6-12 game. It was just your standard poker game. A couple of good players a couple of terrible players and then the rest of us. I made money each night though, so it definitely wasn't that bad. This room's only fault is that it doesn't offer the mid/high limit games that the bellagio does. But if you are a player who likes 2-4 3-6 4-8 and 6-12 they will usually have most of those games. At night they get a 10-20 going and sometimes a 10-20 with a kill. However if you play only 10-20 and above, you will like the Bellagio and Wynn more. They have 1-2 NL and 2-5 NL going most of the time, and sometimes 5-10 NL.
Dealers were very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. The room opened in March and maybe it has gotten better since the moderator reviewed the site. The dealers I talked to had come over from other casinos and were not straight from poker school.
Probably the quickest service of any poker room I played in (Flamingo, Bellagio, Mandalay). The waitresses aren't as pretty as the Bellagio ones but they aren't bad.
The management was extremely friendly to me.
They give you $1 per hour if you swipe your card and $40 per night of the rack rate, which is better than nothing.
