The Orleans Poker Room

I have been playing at the Orleans for six years. I like the dealers, and the staff itself. I read all the negative reviews. My personal feelings, majority of them, are sour grapes. Most likely, they lost and are pouting. People that win, keep returning.. I've had my share of bad beats, players making terrible calls and playing unplayable hands, by bad players, and oh those suck outs. That is not the Orleans fault, that's poker, people. When I come to a table, I analyze the players for 10 hands. I spot the tight players, loose players, aggressive players, and calling stations.. I also spot the players, who raise big, 2 hands before they are big blind. Now I go to work.. I never look at my cards, before it's my turn to act. I gain lots of information watching the players as they look at their hands. Another thing I look at, after a player wins a hand by a big bet, if they look at their cards after the hand is over, there's a good chance they are bluffing. I don't mean all players. I zero in on the player who frequently play like this. When I win a hand, I know what hand I had, if it does not go to showdown. Also if I win on a bluff, I know what cards I have. I do not have to check my hands again. In a tourney, chip early and leave big stacks alone. Don't call, only raise or you shouldn't be in a hand. Beware of the player who doesn't play too many hands and has a decent stack. If he raises, be aware he may have a good hand. I play tight aggressive, but I mix it up, when someone keeps attacking my BB. I am not telling anyone how to play the game. This is all common knowledge. You play this way you will have far more winning sessions, than losing sessions. I have a friend who is also an Orleans regular.. When he started playing at the Orleans, he was on a losing streak, that followed him from another Vegas poker room. He said "I hate this poker room". I said you hate it because you are losing. I said it's not the Orleans fault, you're just running bad. When his luck changed, he suddenly loved the Orleans. He is also, now a regular. Always maintain a positive attitude. Good luck and win big!!! See you at the tables.
