Beverage bar, bartender Jeff and bathrooms are great. There is a lot of options and always clean. The connected restaurant's food is very good.
There hasn't been any live poker games when I have visited here. I asked other players and they say there rarely is. The poker tourneys are cheap and the turnout was decent but the dealers are so slow that it is excruciating to play if you are used to a steady pace.
The pit boss is arrogant and repeatedly claims many years of experience but I can't tell this to be true. He doesn't act professionally to his players or employees from what I have seen and heard. The best (worst) example I seen; One night I was playing a nearby machine and watched the blackjack table close when people were still there playing. He loudly announced the casino doesn't make money or tips from these people to a nearby dealer and that he had to be up early for golf. Then he walked over and shut the table down. I felt this was extremely rude and unprofessional.
It appears to be the only live poker or table games in Fernley, NV so I guess if you're desperate to play, you have to go here. After several visits here I am convinced this is the only reason anyone would , for convenience. Otherwise, a short trip into Sparks or Reno for poker or table games is highly advised as a better option.
