Great local spot!

Other poker places have come and gone but this place just keeps going. Full House is located smack-dab in downtown Eugene. This is good because it's near MANY bars and restaurants but the downside is parking. Getting a spot close to the building can be a challenge. Typically you have to park a block or two away. They do offer daily tournaments at 7pm but only fill 2 tables typically. The strength of this place is the 1-2 cash games. Usually they have anywhere from 1 to 5 games going- depending on the time of the day/week and if the Bid Deal (their version of a bad beat jackpot) qualifier is low (like kings full or lower). This place is 18 and over- which means no booze! For a lot of folks this is a real downer. However, there is the Starlight Lounge right next door in case you’re parched. The plus letting 18-year-olds play there? They are bad players. Especially the foreign U of O students that frequent the place. Just wait for a good hand and let them hang themselves. Full House doesn’t have a kitchen but several local places will deliver. However, you can’t have food at the table- and they don’t offer carts or trays. If you want to eat they make you eat in the lounge. Even though their lounge is comfortable it’s pretty silly to see players quickly fold their hands- run over to get a few bits- and then run back to their table so they don’t miss a hand. This needs to change. This place doesn’t take a rake- but they will take 5% of your buy-in. They also make money from memberships- either monthly ($25) or yearly ($100). But it’s worth doing since they offer several promotions for members as well as discounts on tournament buy-ins. Overall it’s nice environment to play cards.
