Over 20 years playing professionally

Well I put off writing this review until I was sure I wouldn't be back but here it goes... If you work here prepare to be flattered or offended but I swear on the Bible all is 100% true.

Long story short if you don't care to read this entire lengthy review is if this room had a 100% turnover in the floor staff it would probably be among the best rooms in all of the United States.

Excellent dealers VERY professional friendly entertaining, etc Adam, Charles, Shelly basically all the dealers just can't recall everyone's names right now sorry ladies and gentlemen of the dealer core...
The dual rate floor people are okay I guess.
But the treatment I received from the floor at this poker room was absolutely atrocious, unfair and completely ruined my experience at this room despite the fact that I went in there and made money absolutely handover fist VERY easily. I was all but forced to leave town and play elsewhere.
Excellent promotions, weekly hours promotion is the
nuts...
There are also high hands and other every shifting promotional deals...
I could not smoke a cigarette, take a bathroom break... (partially disabled and failing health unfortunately) without being harassed by the floor.
The worst example is by far Nick an open homosexual male (which I have no issues with) however I brought my live in girlfriend Into the poker room and he told her that I sleep with prostitutes... which although this was true at the time previous to meeting my girlfriend of 2 years... was completely out of line for him to say. That was years ago the first time i lived in Reno.
The second time I lived in Reno to play poker professionally he made it a point to come up and harass me Nearly every time I stepped away from the table...insulting my play style, (which has won me money in the hundreds of thousands in my life) etc saying I do not play enough hands.. I won't go on any further.
He was far from the only floor person here that was out of line.
The man that ran the room years ago should have fired Nick on the spot for what he said to my girlfriend, which lead to us breaking up shortly after...although we did get back together it broke my heart as I had changed my womazing ways...
He had the nerve to make negative comments to another lady friend of mine ( lol ya ive had a few women enjoy spending time wth me in reno( this year as I played thus summer.
But I believe that shouldn't be someone's job to serve me to inform my girlfriends of my lifestyle choices...
How would you feel if the waiter at your restaurant told your date "hey what happened to the red head babe he was kissing in here last week"?
You are probably asking why I continued to play here under these conditions well thats because despite horrible management with the exception of the poker room manager and maybe one or two day shift floor ladies that seemed to show me some level of respect and fairness...
I was simply winning too much money to leave town. I wona very high hourly rate and extremely consistently...
The games during the day are very tight and passive mainly older players waiting for hands at the top of a balanced players range to be aggressive.. nice folks though good company, but they must do alot of complaining...no issues with that..old retirees and our elders have every right to @#$% and moan and gripe all day if they choose
but was extremely mishandled by staff when what should have been Said was "he has the right to do this or that"

The man that ran the room at the time (bryan)genuinely cared about the poker room and his customers however was simply not present often enough to witness how out of line those working underneath him really were.

The food is excellent perhaps pricey however they do offer stellar comps.

The servers are a mixed batch..some attractive some not... I might be alone here (although I highly doubt it) but I'm just NOT okay with someone my grandmothers age RIP, serving me drinks in a short skirt and low cut top...
like wowing can only imagine how depressing that would be for a losing poker player. If you're 60+ years old its time y retire or at least get a job that doesn't involve wearing extremely revealing clothing for the sake of the seeing public also. I'm sorry but this is just unacceptable, other casinos and poker rooms have solved thus issue...

Southpoint, Wynn, Aria among other rooms...also every casino I've ever seen outside the united states...has servers under 40 that are attractive.

Most of the waitresses in the GSR are acceptable but a few are not. Service provided is acceptable and rapid.
