I also swung by Harrah's Rincon to check it out too. This is usually a stop on the WSOP Circuit so I had some high expectations. In all honesty, it didn't quite live up.
The property is outstanding. When I think of a San Diego casino it's visually what comes to mind. But I was a little down going on.
The room wasn't as big as I'd expected and it's too close to other things in the casino that would create disturbances (slots/food court) while playing. Been to a few Harrah's properties and this was a little frustrating.
The poker room staff was very good but I wasn't thrilled with the rest of the staff and the drinks were a little pricey. Fortunately, it didn't reflect in the poker team. Dealers were obviously experienced and they did a great job. Will also said they spread a nice variety of games and it was a much more stable level of play than at Ocean's.
So I guess my experience was somewhat mixed. I'd definitely come back for the Circuit Event because it would mostly be in the events center and I'm sure it'll be well run. But coming over just to play cash - maybe.
