I've seen reviews of the cramped room. I disagree. It is actually pretty nice in there. They DO have about 14 tables there, but they insist on cramming 9 on a table and will not open an new one until there are 8 waiting. Unsure if they have a lack of dealers, but it was an unmercenary wait.
Once on the table, everyone, and i mean EVERYONE knew each other, except me. Felt like I was invading someone's private game. Also, these regs were not the most welcoming.
I also agree with another review that the dealers were solid and the server came in about every 10-20 minutes with drink orders, so that was nice.
There are no tournaments since Covid (THREE YEARS AGO), and I'd like to see if they ran some tourneys and some more open tables, it may pick up.
Also posted by someone's review was uneven stack sizes from combining tables. I didn't see that, but when I sat down, there were a couple of stacks above $800, so unsure if that was combining a 2-5 table. Not likely given the day of the week and time of day.
I live pretty close, so I'd hope they'd improve the play/number of players, and I'd play more there. But, until that happens, I may stick to the Rivers in downtown Pgh.
