These people do everything they can to minimize their profit.
An 8-table room that had 5 cash games going by 11 every morning introduced 10 AM tournaments, reducing the morning cash games to 2 or less most days.
Then they shaft the bread'n'butter 1-3 regulars by bringing in a couple 2-5 games into an already saturated room with long waits, making the waits 5 hours or more on weekends.
Ask why they introduced the 2-5 game, they say they make more rake -- while losing at least 10 table hours of rake every day for a tourney that usually rakes $10/player. Rocket scientists these people are not.
Fire the guy who brought back the tournaments!!!
