Not a separate room, but a roped off area near the Heart bar and next to a slot machine area. It is close to the entrance to the Miracle Mile shops and to a bank of hotel elevators, so there is a steady stream of walk-by traffic. Overall a fun place to play, casual vibe, soft cash games, & good small buy-in tourneys. Downsides are no computer list, no comps, and trouble with sustaining multiple cash games.
The casino vibe is sort of "young and hip" and the poker players tend to be younger than other small Strip rooms. Competition seemed to be softer than average, with few nits/rocks and plenty of maniacs and calling stations. During a day session, one young kid from CA ran a stack up to $3K, gave it all back, and then spewed off another $2K or so. During a night session, several wild drunk players also spewed chips playing a wild style. There are some decent players, but a good player should not find the game challenging.
Dealers were competent skill-wise, about what you would expect for a small Strip room. Generally a friendly, fun, casual bunch.
Service was regular, every 10 minutes or so, and fairly quick. Typical range of drinks offered (Ketel One vodka, Captain Morgan, Jack Daniels, and an outstanding spicy Bloody Mary). Servers were all very friendly. I don't grade on attractiveness, but those that do will like the servers.
Rulings I saw were all correctly handled. Day shift manager sat in a game to get a game started at noon. Managers were generally friendly and worked to make play a good experience. One downside is that managers may give players a little too much leeway in terms of conduct; I saw two heated verbal arguments between players, and the floors were not as aggressive in intervening as they might have been to defuse the situations early on (however, they did a nice job of removing a player who needed to be removed).
No comps at all. HHJs are offered, and I did hit one (quad Js) for ~$260 (they are progressive by hand).
