Be Honest With Your Customers

Dallas County Courts Portal Online Record Search for Civil Cases

Case Number "DC-22-16151"

Poker House Owners & Management:

You were sued by the City of Dallas in November 2022 for Code Violations stemming from your continued operations under an approved Strip Club Certificate of Occupancy ("CO") (La Zona Rosa Cabaret dba Poker House Dallas). You never sought permission from the City to operate a card room and you never were approved to do so.

The City sent you numerous letters in the months preceding November 2022 in an attempt to civilly allow your business opportunities to apply for the proper CO and bring your establishment into compliance. You ignored every one of these requests. As such, the City filed a motion for Temporary Injunction to immediately stop your operations. After more delay tactics and deceitful tricks, the City was granted its motion against you on May 9, 2023.

Because of your deceitful strategy, unwillingness to cooperate with the proper authorities and belief that you were above the law, you are now facing the consequences.

To the readers of this review: The other card rooms in Dallas were open and honest in their applications for COs. They were approved by City Officials, Police, Attorneys, etc. to operate their businesses the proper way. While still operating, these other rooms have faced legal challenges of their own. They TRULY had their COs revoked (and are fighting the good fight for true legal poker in Dallas), in direct contrast to the Poker House situation. Do not be fooled by what you hear and any attempts at deceit. Read the court documents for yourself.
