TCH Social Las Colinas

I've been a regular here since opening week in 2023. I play on and off 50 - 120 hours a month. This has been by far my favorite place to play in DFW since opening, unfortunately it feels as if the room is on a rapid decline over the past year.

Concerns

1. Player Pool
The player pool used to be much more enjoyable with great action, now it's very hit or miss with mainly highly profitable players and Euros. I believe this is due to price increases as it is much more difficult to be a break even player leaving all the action players dry after playing here for extended periods. Don't get me wrong the action is still good on select days however there is a noticeable difference over the past 6-12 months.

2. Price
$14/hr seems very excessive with promotions getting fewer and farther between. On top of that food price increases while food quality declines. Promotions are absolutely crucial for regulars who play 50+ hours a month.

3. Food
The restaurant has so much potential and has great options for good tasting meals at a pretty reasonable price. However it seems there's an issue with hiring the right kitchen staff. I've seen numerous counts of severely undercooked chicken, order mistakes, and just blatant lack of attention to detail to the point I try to eat before I come in now and when I do order I order the simplest items such as a cheeseburger or pizza (hard to mess up).
When the food is good it is good though.

4. Chips
I'm not sure how difficult it is to clean the chips but as other reviews have stated, the chips are very sticky and sometimes makes it awkward to bet without giving off some kind of tell. Doesn't bother me too much but worth noting as I feel that is a simple fix.

Positives

1. Dealers
In my opinion 90% of the dealers are great and have no complaints from me. Usually friendly, attentive to pace of play, and professional. I usually play NLH however when I do play PLO it seems as some dealers struggle with calculating pot at times, not too much concern as that is minority of the dealers.

2. Service
They have a solid system to be attentive to service at the tables. Most of the waitresses are very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Notable waitresses include Donna, Olivia, and Kaitlyn. Bartenders Daniel and Lisa are extremely welcoming and attentive, make good drinks, and will chat with anyone who's interested that's sitting at the bar.

3. Ambiance
I love the look and feel of the room overall. Good TV placement, mostly comfortable chairs, nice lounge, solid layout. They have some golf simulators in the front that do not work and are way too loud to use in the room when they are operating. I'd love to see those get replaced with a couple pool tables to play while you wait.

4. Traffic
The room has tables running 24/7 365 which is awesome. Even though it might be more difficult to find a good table these days, at least there is options to choose from unlike other rooms in DFW

5. Security
Room feels safe, good area (unlike the Dallas location off harry hines), patrolled parking lots. Most of the security guards are friendly upon arrival and seem to be paying attention to the surroundings so you can feel at ease.

Overall this room is still my go to place to play, though with the decline in previously mentioned has caused me to explore other rooms in the area and bounce around more frequently. I will still recommend people to go. My main concern is if management doesn't address these main issues expressed by majority of players that the room will just continue to decline forcing me to switch to another room as my go to. My reason for writing this review is out of hope that doesn't happen. Go check it out if you haven't, good luck on the felt everyone!
