Was in town working, decided to check it out for a tournament. First off, I looked up tournaments on here, and found this place...said the tournament is $240, with no deductions, but $100 for "additional fees". So, seriously, they're raking 42%, to be honest...but I decided to go by just in case it was a typo. After driving driving through ridiculous traffic, I zig zagged through a shady side of town, parked and walked to the door...immediately saw 2 cops at the entrance, and another parked in the parking lot. I walk in, and a little black guy comes right up and wands me...I tell the people at the desk I'm new and am interested in the tournament, all young black people who have no idea, one just reads from the screen. I ask him how much goes to the prize pool, he is confused and reads off word for word the details, probably off of this site, and says "100 additional fees". They push forward a application, but I ask about if they take cash or card, and say it's just cash. I leave, alread having a 90% negative feeling to begin with, and with a 42% rake, its just plain robbery. So no thanks. Shady side of town. Shady atmosphere. Shady people at desk. Taking almost half the buy in. Nope. Hard to believe this place is in business. I can't rate anything other than this, I did not play. Taking half your buy in is enough for a negative. The people were respectful at the desk, but too Shady part of town and place.
