Sexist & Inconsistent Rules

I'm a poker player - a woman poker player but nonetheless a poker player.

I've been playing at this establishment over the last 4-5 years, hundreds probably thousands of times. Watched and sat in the middle of several outbursts between men players. Arguments that have stopped games while we are being charged time and have to watch security deescalate situations to keep the players from getting physical. All players involved were allowed to sit back down and continue playing poker while still having words or poking jabs at the other individual. Neither of them banned or even made to leave for the night. All of these tirades happened under the same GM.

However; women are constantly told they are doing too much if they have any type of situation/disagreement at the poker room. How many players have hit the table out of frustration when losing a big hand? (I've seen it on almost a daily basis) Why do male players feel like they can "TELL you (a woman) what you are allowed or not allowed to do at a poker table?" I've seen far worse - cards, chips, etc... being thrown at dealers. But to be told you can't hit the table in frustration is crazy and NOT a rule until a woman does it. When the player calls FLOOR to report you hitting the table - The floor tells you - you can't hit the table. When they can't make it make sense - they're explanation is It's against the rules because it's a checking motion - even if you don't have cards in your hand and aren't currently in a hand.

The poker room "rules" are determined and change depending who the floor is at that time.

As a woman if you point out inconsistencies on how the rules are regulated or if you are just as passionate of a poker player as most men are don't conduct yourself like them at all - if you do you're asking for trouble or to be banned for 90 days. TCH will make a list of reasons and tell you what YOU said and did but will not show you what they supposedly heard you say according to video and what other "people" said you did or said. If you state anything or try to speak for up for yourself - you're met by a man GM rolling his eyes and saying that's it and telling you that you can't listen all you do is defend yourself. Being called into an office and asked to close the door behind you and have a seat to have a discussion felt more like a child being sat down by their parent who's in trouble or an employee waiting to be reprimanded. (Like I am sitting here replaying this in my head) I'm a patron to this establishment or I was. Like why in the heck did I just go here trying to validate why I should be unbanned for hitting a poker table. People just like me are what keeps the doors open and everyone gainfully employed. I asked that things be reviewed and a full investigation be done but not for me to return after a 90 day ban for hitting the table (I'll dump my money in other poker rooms) rather than patronize TCH since they can't be consistent & their rules change per manager on the floor or are held up depending on which "player" has an issue with something. I do not plan on returning to this place after being banned over hitting a table out of frustration while being seated and losing a big hand. (What's crazy is the situation and story being fabricated and made to appear as a TIRADE throughout the entire poker room but being told your tirade can't be shown to you) Good Luck TCH your business on the Northside is definitely declining because of poor management, lack of incentives and bad attitudes of your employees (mainly dealers and specific mgmt). In addition 40 minutes with a bad dealer with a bad attitude when no other poker room in Houston or anywhere else as a matter of fact is equally insane. Not to mention the vehicle break ins being done by the same white vehicle over and over again but they haven't been stopped or apprehended.
