I've been playing at the Royal since I moved from Houston to San Antonio four
years ago. Being retired, i usually play 2 to 3 weekdays and always on Sundays.
I keep my sessions short (2 to 4 hrs.) which gets me home well before the traffic madness of rush hour S.A. (It also keeps my wife happy.)
The owner (J.R) and all the dealers are first rate professionals. I couldn't ask for a better card room staff. The players, which during the day are a mix of old guys like me and young are friendly and conversations are sometimes spirited and funny.
I recommend playing at the Royal Card House whether you are passing through town on business or want to find a permanent poker home.
