Thunder Valley has well-managed national tournament stops in their very large poker arena. Cash games options are not as good as nearby poker rooms such as Stones, or even Capitol, especially in the 1-3 games. The evening floor man, Jeff, is easily the best floor man in the state. He shows that he values everyone who enters the poker room. He is highly skilled in resolving table disputes quickly. Another floor man, Miguel, is equally skilled. The rest of the floor men certainly need more training in customer service. the reason for my 3-point rating. Most of the dealers do not seem as content about their jobs as dealers in other nearby card rooms, and this discontent is transferred to the customers. However, this may be a reflection of how they are treated by management. There seems to be a higher turn-over rate among dealers compared to other nearby card rooms. To enjoy an evening of poker where you are treated like a valued customer and engage in a table-max 1-3 game, I play at nearby poker rooms and probably will never play in a cash game at Thunder again. However, their incredibly well-structured national tournaments where everyone is treated like a valued customer deserve a 5- star rating. You don't need to go to Vegas when the tournaments make a stop at Thunder.
