I live over an hour and a half away, but I've been to Viking over a dozen times, and it's always worth the trip!
The owner (Ryan) is friendly, professional, and approachable-- he made me feel welcome on my first visit, and even before that when I reached out with some questions about the room.
The dealers know their stuff, run the games with speed and efficiency, joke around and laugh with players, and keep the vibes upbeat and enjoyable.
There are lots of TVs with sports and/or poker playing at all times.
Tournaments are run extremely well, using the Tournament Directors Association (TDA). You won't get some random unfair special "house" ruling here.
The tables and chairs are comfortable. Snacks are free. Drinks are $1.
Professionalism meets hospitality at The Viking, and I would recommend it to first time players, casual players, and serious players alike.
